Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes! Gift certificates are available on our website and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They are a unique and wonderful gift to give to someone cherished where they can either take a tour with their own select group of friends and loved ones, or perhaps you too can join along on a great day out with them.
What if the weather is bad?
Our tour operates regardless of weather conditions. Event Tours will do all they can to ensure the comfort of each guest in their tours, no matter whether snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night…” as per the US Postal Service motto, Event Tours will always get through (common sense prevailing). And although some outdoor experiences may be thwarted, on most occasions wherever we go, there will always be good food, good wine and good company; and sometimes times such as these create some of the most momentous occasions.
Can I eat and drink in the vehicle?
Most assuredly, as long as you keep the vehicle as tidy as possible. Your comfort is our highest concern, and some of our travels may be long. Eat, drink and be merry!
Note that water is available free of charge for your additional comfort.
Do you have any accommodation packages?
Yes! We can certainly organise overnight accommodation packages to the Hunter Valley or really, to any place of your choosing. Please send us an email with a destination you have in mind, the time away you’d like to spend, and the type of things that may interest you at this particular destination. We will then spend time developing an itinerary for the tour, including the accommodation and overall cost.
Do you pick up door-to-door?
Yes definitely, to save time it is more convenient for us to pick up the group (6 max) from one destination, but if needed, we can pick up fewer people from diverse locations around the Greater Port Macquarie / Camden Haven region.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes – Event Tours offer a massive discount for group bookings! For most of our tours and transport, Event Tours offers a satisfying 20% discount on all of our prices for the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th person in a group, thereby substantially reducing the entire rate of payment per vehicle. Keep this in mind when you’re planning your next tour and organise a bunch of friends to tag along – the more the merrier! (6 max)
Can I bring my luggage?
Whilst our vehicle is spacious and comfortable, it does not offer an excessive amount of room to store luggage. Please try to keep your luggage stored in a soft bag and contents kept to a minimum. If need be, where excess luggage is necessary (e.g. shopping tours, long-term stays), Event Tours will also transport a luggage trailer on the tour.
Do I need to bring anything?
On most occasions our tours have considered most of your needs for most of the time, however, some items to consider bringing along include:
A camera or phone to take photos, Additional Snacks, An item of warm clothing, A hat and sunglasses, Sunscreen, A rain jacket or umbrella, Personal identification, Credit/Debit Cards, Spare cash, A small notepad and pen, Paracetamol &/or Ibuprofen, Perhaps a soft-skinned wine cooler for wine purchases.
What should I wear?
Dress casual but consider where you are going and the forecasted weather conditions for the day ahead – a layered approach to clothing may be wise. If your tour has you attending a restaurant, consider your dress attire; If you are sleeping overnight, consider nightwear; Light walking may be necessary throughout the day, so also consider closed-in shoes for feet protection.
Are we OK to stop on route to go to the toilet?
Yes! Most definitely, whenever you like, wherever is appropriate, our tours DO NOT have the strict restrictions of a larger size tourist bus! As trite as it may sound, your happiness is our happiness.
Need to stop anywhere at any time? Yes!
Need the windows down or up? Yes!
Need the music down, up, changed to a preferred choice? Yes! or
Want to synic your phone via Blue-toothed to play your own music? Yes! Yes! Yes!
How long is it to get to the Hunter Valley from Port Macquarie?
It takes around 3 hours 10 minutes (240 km) to get to the Hunter Valley from Port Macquarie, so day trips need to leave early and be prepared to get home relatively late.
Newcastle: 2 hrs and 40 mins (244.4 km)
Sydney: 4 hr 7 min (392.7 km)
Coffs Harbour: 1 hr 35 min (152.3 km)
Byron Bay: 4 hr 3 min (385.8 km)
Do you cater for Wheelchairs?
Unfortunately, our vehicle is not designed to cater for someone who is restricted to their wheelchair. If there is no restriction to the chair and it can be folded and stored then we may be able to assist. Please call Event Tours on 0480 227 794 to discuss.
How can I book?
Bookings for our advertised tours can be made online via the Event Tours website.
For all other bookings such as the Camden Haven – Port Macquarie Shuttle Service, Transport to Newcastle, Sydney or Coffs Harbour, Design Your Own tour, Wedding Transportation or any other related event, send us through an enquiry (by visiting our contact us page) with details of which tour and date you would like and we'll get back to you or call Greg @ Event Tours on 0480 227 794 to discuss options
What days do your tours operate?
Our tours operate on demand, just let us know what dates you are interested in and we'll get back to you with some options!
We do our best to accommodate however availability is limited, we suggest to get in contact as soon as you have a date in mind.
Are alternatives to wine available?
Yes! If requested, we will provide both juice and water for our guests free of charge. Water is always a staple on all of our tours.
Are vegetarians catered for?
Yes! Please let us know when making your booking whether you require vegetarian type meals and whether you have any other dietary requirements such as gluten and dairy intolerances, so that we may cater for them.
What methods of payment do you accept?
All Bookings made via an Online Booking Agency (External to the Event Tours website) must be paid for at the time of Booking unless otherwise agreed by Event Tours.
Our online booking system accepts major credit cards (VISA, MASTERCARD) PayPal ?? and full payment is required to confirm all online bookings.
We may charge a Booking fee or credit card transaction fee when paying for tickets. This fee will only extend to cover the cost of recovering merchant fees charged to Event Tours.
Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and are only valid for the booked tour unless given express written consent by Event Tours.
For tours not made via an Online Booking Agency (External to the Event Tours website) a Deposit is Required at the time of Booking.
Payment terms for the balance of the tour are fourteen (14) days prior to the travel date. An invoice will be emailed prior to the fourteen (14) days due date. Payment can be made by direct debit, visa or cheque.
Hens/Bucks and other related tour types incur a $300 bond. The bond will be returned three (3) business days after the tour has finished, provided:
The transport vehicle is left clean and free of damage
There is no negative feedback from the venues and/or any other businesses
Nothing was stolen or damaged at any venues
All payments can be made via our website using the link to our square payment facility at which time payment can be made by using Visa / Mastercard & PayPal???.
We can accept payment by Cash or Credit card on the day you travel, but only if this has been previously agreed with Event Tours. Please call Greg @ Event Tours on 0480 227 794 to discuss.
How many people can be transported?
Our vehicle is a 7-seater VW Multivan, aside from the driver our seating capacity ranges
between 1 (charged at a 2-person rate) and 6 people.
Cancellation, Changes & Refund Policy
Cancellations or Changes by You
If you need to cancel your tour for any reason please notify Event Tours as soon as possible.
Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:
If you cancel your Booking:
For on-line bookings your seat will be confirmed once payment is made and the following Refund conditions apply:
Cancellation within 48hrs of making a booking will receive a full refund
Cancellation with 14 days or more notice will receive a full refund
Cancellation within 14 -7 days will be charged a 50% of fare cancellation fee
Cancellation within 7 - 0 days of tour date will forfeit all monies paid
For booking made with a deposit the following
If you change your Booking date:
Changing Booking dates are subject to availability and a $25 per person transfer fee will be charged.
Tours are transferable but only through negotiation with Event Tours.
TOUR CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES BY US (Event Tours)
Event Tours reserve the right to change or cancel tours due to operating requirements or circumstances beyond our control.
All our tours require a minimum of Two (2) guests to commence. If the minimum number is not reached, we reserve the right to change or cancel any Bookings.
If we cancel a tour, we will endeavour to do one of the following:
Re-book you for another date or tour (subject to availability)
Transfer your Booking to another person
Refund your payment.
NOTE: Cancellation, Refund & Changes conditions may differ depending on third party service providers cancellation terms and refund policies, please see your quote for details.
Are children allowed on the tours?
Yes! Children are welcome to come to most of our tours, however please note that our vehicle is only suitable for children who are legally allowed to travel without a car seat.
North Brother, Wine & Chocolate Tour:
Most definitely. children are welcome to join the tour, although the wine tastings and any alcohol consumption is restricted to adults only, kids are more than welcome to enjoy the day out if you and they would like.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any discount for Children and therefore the prices would be the same as an Adult – we can however if you give us notice provide colouring packs and/or entry into the Bago Maze.
Tours including visits to a Brewery:
Due to Covid-19 restrictions apply to these venues and therefore these tours are strictly limited to Adults only. This may change one the restrictions are lifted.
Each tour will need to be considered before allowing children to attend as it will depend on the venues we visit and their licencing and restrictions.
